DESCRIPTION:The Palestine Solidarity Campaign is organising a conference fo
 r delegates from trade unions\, sponsored by the TUC\, on Saturday 5 April
 . It will hear about the latest developments from speakers\, including tra
 de unionists\, from Palestine and from the trade union and solidarity move
 ment in Britain. It will take place at the TUC\, Congress House\, Great Ru
 ssell St\, London WC1B 3LS.\n\nIf your trade union wants to send delegates
  registration in advance is essential.\nPlease register here&gt\; \nSpeci
 al guest speakers include:\n\n\n\n\n\n Abed Dari\, Jericho District  Fie
 ld Worker with Kav LaOved\, in the in the Jordan ValleyAbed will be   spe
 aking about the situation of Palestinian workers employed in Illegal   Is
 raeli settlements in the Jordan Valley (West Bank).\n\nKav LaOved (Worker
 ’s   Hotline) is an independent\, non-governmental organisation commit
 ted to the defence of workers’ rights\, including Palestinian and Pales
 tinian Citizens of Israel.\n\n             \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

 \n\nOmar Barghouti -   founder of the Palestinian Boycott Divestment and 
 Sanctions campaign\, and leader of the BDS National Committee   (BNC). Om
 ar will be joining the conference live via Skype link\, and talk  about t
 he need for Trade Unions around the world to join the global   solidarity
  movement\, by notably taking and supporting BDS actions.\n\n\n\n\n\nJust 
 as for apartheid in South Africa\, international solidarity can make a key
  contribution in the struggle for liberation. And over the last few years\
 , we have seen a massive surge in trade union solidarity. The Palestine So
 lidarity Campaign is organising this conference to discuss the next steps 
 in the struggle for peace and justice for Palestine. Specialist strands wi
 ll focus on discussion and proposals for particular areas of work – from
  targeting complicit firms and ending the arms trade\, to building the cam
 paign within unions at local and national level. The conference is open to
  delegates from TUC-affiliated unions and their regions. It is also open t
 o delegates from trade union branches that are affiliated to PSC.\n\nThe U
 nited Nations has declared 2014 as the year of international solidarity wi
 th the Palestinian people. For too long\, Palestinians have suffered under
  occupation and siege\, and have had their basic rights denied them.\n\nPl
 ease send a delegate to join us in sharing and discussing current campaign
 ing\, and on taking forward implementation of TUC policy on Palestine.\n\n
