  and host Baroness Tonge\, of Kew in the London Borough of Richmond upon T
 hames. She was MP for Richmond Park from 1997 until she stood down in 2005
 . She has held many Frontbench posts for the party in both the Commons and
  the Lords. Most controversially\, she resigned from the Liberal Democrats
  Parliamentary Party in 2010 after refusing to apologise to Party Leader a
 nd Deputy Prime Minister\, Nick Clegg\, for the following comment: \n\n "B
 eware Israel. Israel is not going to be there forever in its present form.
  One day\, the United States of America will get sick of giving £70bn a y
 ear to Israel to support what I call America's aircraft carrier in the Mid
 dle East – that is Israel. One day\, the American people are going to sa
 y to the Israel lobby in the USA: enough is enough. Israel will lose suppo
 rt and then they will reap what they have sown."\n\n She now sits in the H
 ouse of Lords as an Independent Liberal Democrat.\n\n\n\n
