SUMMARY:Launch of UK-Palestine Mental Health Network
DESCRIPTION:This is the first meeting to establish a network of workers in 
 mental health (in the widest sense) who are concerned about the impact of 
 Israeli policies on the psychological well-being of the Palestinian people
 \, and who approach the issue with a clear commitment to democratic values
  and anti-discriminatory practice.\n\nThere will be contributions from Jef
 f Halper of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions\, and Dr Moham
 ed Altawil\, of the Palestine Trauma Centre\, bringing their direct knowle
 dge of the ways in which politics and health on the ground are so inextric
 ably intertwined.\n\nWe see as our first priority facilitating direct enco
 unters between UK mental health practitioners and our Palestinian counterp
 arts\, to develop direct relationships\, and to be in a position to find o
 ut how Palestinians would like us to focus our energies in their support.\
 n\nSo that we can calculate numbers\, let us know if you do plan to come\,
