SUMMARY:'Unfree in Palestine' with anthropologist and author Adah Kay
DESCRIPTION:Professor Adah Kay will present projections from Ariella Azou
 lay’s study of archive photographs ‘From Palestine to Israel’ and
  discuss the continuous process of Palestinian denationalisation and dedev
 elopment from 1948 until today. \nAdah Kay's recent book ‘Unfree in Pa
 lestine’ which shockingly exposes the process by which  millions of Pa
 lestinians have been denationalised by the web of bureaucracy\, discrimina
 tion\, blacklisting and induced transfer that Israeli authorities have use
 d to control the Palestinian population. The book calls for international
  justice and inclusive security - in place of discrimination and division.

 Adah Kay  trained in social anthropology and urban planning and has worke
 d in local government\, universities and NGOs . She and her husband Tom li
 ved and worked in the West Bank from 2002-6 – where Adah researched and 
 co wrote Stolen Youth: the Politics of Israel’s Detention of Palestinian
  Children and more recently Unfree in Palestine : Registration Documentati
 on and Movement Restriction with Nadia Abu-Zahra. Adah remains actively in
 volved in pro Palestinian initiatives and travels regularly to the West Ba
